Plain-language explanations with everyday examples
The Brain as a Foundation for Therapy: Applying Neuroscience in Practice
Understand how stress, threat and safety responses affect attention, memory, emotion and behaviour, and use this knowledge to make sense of a client’s situation.
This introductory session connects neuroscience with concrete therapeutic decisions. You will explore what happens in the nervous system during stress, why a person may not be able to simply “think differently”, and how to choose an intervention that matches their current capacity for attention and regulation. Using a sample case, you will apply the Attend–Build–Connect structure and compare practical interventions focused on attention, regulation and connection.

Please note: this workshop is delivered in Armenian.
