Armen Andreasyan

CBT psychotherapy shaped by scientific thinking and person-centered work

I am a Yerevan-based neuroscience-informed CBT therapist and PhD in medical neuroscience. I provide online sessions to adults living in Armenia and internationally.

My work is grounded in the collaborative and structured principles of cognitive behavioral therapy. Neuroscience adds context for understanding stress activation, learning, attention, bodily responses, and emotion regulation.

Scientific explanations do not replace the person’s story. A working formulation develops from the current difficulty, personal history, context, goals, and available resources.

Professional foundation

CBT and neuroscience

CBT is the primary psychotherapeutic framework of my work. It helps map links between situations, interpretations, emotions, bodily responses, and behavior, define observable goals, and test more useful responses in everyday life.

My medical neuroscience background supports a careful scientific understanding of stress, learning, behavior, and emotion regulation. It is not presented as a separate treatment and does not replace CBT formulation or medical and psychiatric assessment when those are needed.
