Hands-on cognitive tasks
Applied Neuropsychology: From Assessment to Action
Choose practical rehabilitation strategies for difficulties with planning, attention, learning, prospective memory and visual search.
You will use Goal Management Training (GMT) to stop, define the main goal, split it into steps, act and check. You will also practise Time Pressure Management (TPM) for slowed processing, Attention Process Training (APT) for graded attention practice and video feedback for improving awareness of errors. Day two covers errorless learning, fading cues, prospective-memory prompts, visual scanning and strategies for multistep everyday actions. Each named method is linked to a concrete difficulty such as a missed step, distraction, slow performance or neglect of one side of space.
